By using Kindred you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 17 years old. Prompts are written for adults and deal frankly with intimacy, conflict, resentment, and other difficult subjects. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
What you write is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store your content and show it to the partner in that space, and to process it for a recap if you request one. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your writing for advertising.
There is no public feed in Kindred, but you are writing to another real person. You agree not to use the app to:
We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. Every note and revealed answer can be reported from inside the app. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours; we may remove content, and suspend or permanently remove accounts that breach these rules. You can also leave a space at any moment, which immediately cuts off all contact from that person.
Use the report control on any note or answer, or email ken.eynon@kelt.com. Tell us what you saw and we will investigate. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Kindred is a self-reflection tool, not counselling, therapy, or medical or mental-health advice. The prompts are original and are not a clinically validated instrument. They can surface painful material. If you are struggling, please speak to a qualified professional. Nothing in the app should be relied on to make decisions about your health, safety, or relationship.
We aim to keep Kindred running but provide it "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss arising from content exchanged between partners.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which permanently erases your content. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
